Quincy, IL Wedding Photographer

Q. How would you describe your photography style? Timeless, romantic, candid, and real. I create classic photographs that stand the test of time. Each time you look through your wedding album, you’ll re-live each moment of your day.

Q. How long have you been shooting weddings? My partner, Justin, and I have been shooting weddings together since 2011. So that we can give each client an excellent experience, we accept approximately 15-20 weddings each year. We do not schedule multiple events on any booked wedding days. When you book us, we’re all yours!

Q. How do you operate during a wedding day? Justin and I have different shooting styles, but our styles mold together beautifully to tell a well-rounded account of your day. Justin uses zoom lenses to document your day with little interference. This allows him to capture the most candid moments when family, guests, and you, don’t even realize he’s there. I shoot mostly with prime lenses, which means I “zoom” with my feet. I like to feel all the emotions of your day and be right there with you ensuring I miss nothing. I am there to direct and assist when it’s necessary, and then when moments are unfolding, I am observant with my lens.

Q. What do your packages cover on a typical wedding day? My smallest collection will usually cover a quick ceremony, some couple and family photos, and the first hour of your reception. My most popular collection will generally cover putting on your dress through the first few songs of open dancing. Additional hours may be added to cover longer ceremonies and travel times.

Q. What is included in my investment? Well there's the obvious like a wedding album and all of the edited digital files. But you're not just paying for beautiful photos, you're also paying for a professional experience. Have you ever heard someone say they regret investing in their photographer? Probably not, but you will hear regret over NOT hiring a professional. All of my couples receive the most caring and attentive service from start to finish.  You can relax and trust me to capture your day in the most thoughtful and personal way possible. From convenient meetings or calls, to prompt email responses, and setting up a stress-free timeline, you'll always feel taken care of. On the wedding day, my couples note how reassuring my calm demeanor was for them, even throughout the most stressful situations. It is always my goal that you enjoy your experience as much as you do your photos.

Q. How can I book my wedding package? I would love to meet with you before you book, but if you're out of town or don't have the time, we can get you booked now and schedule a meet-up for another time. At our meeting, we can go over your event details, create a timeline, look through my sample albums, and discuss which collection would be best for you. Your wedding package is booked with a $500 retainer and signed contract. Both can be completed online at your convenience. Your remaining balance is paid through a flexible payment plan.

Q. Tell me about wedding albums! All of my full coverage collections include a wedding album. I shoot with your wedding album in mind because I am there to tell the story of your day and give you a beautifully finished family heirloom. Twenty years down the road, your digital files may get corrupt or lost, but your album won't. My heirloom wedding albums are stunning and produced by one of the best album companies in the world. I highly recommend seeing them in person!

Q. Do you work with a second photographer? Of course! My partner, Justin, is my second photographer and most of my collections include him.

Q. Do you have professional equipment and insurance? Yes and Yes! I shoot with professional equipment, backup equipment, and business insurance. Each year, I add to or update my equipment so that I can continue elevating the photos and experience I offer. Your photos are automatically backed up as they're being taken through our dual memory card function on our cameras. After the wedding, your photos are stored in three places: my computer, my ioSafe fireproof hard drive, and Carbonite online software. I am also insured through the PPA (Professional Photographers of America).

Q. Do you travel? Justin & I love to travel! Because we are inspired by new places, we are able to offer 2 lucky couples per year FREE travel outside of the Midwest. Yup, you read that right! Book any regular price wedding collection with us and if your event is eligible, that's all you'll pay.

Q. On the wedding day, do you take traditional family photos? Absolutely, all the time! We typically shoot the family photos directly after the ceremony and it takes about 20 minutes.

Q. When could I expect my photos to be ready? Engagement photos take 2-3 weeks to be delivered. You can expect an average of 40-60 engagement images. Wedding photos may take up to 6-8 weeks to be delivered. Depending on your wedding collection, you can expect an average of 50 images per hour of wedding coverage.

Q. Will the photos be professionally edited? I cull your images to the best. Then I professionally color-correct, crop, sharpen, and classically finish them. Most weddings yield approximately 300 finished photos. These are the best photos from your day, and the ones you'll want to print and display in your wedding album.

Q. How will you deliver my photos to me? When your photos are ready, you’ll receive an email invitation to view your wedding gallery. For your privacy, it is password protected, but you may share with anyone you wish. Through the gallery, you can download your images to begin printing with right away. There is also an online shopping cart for anyone with access to the gallery to place orders through.

Q. Will I receive the high resolution digital files and print release? Yes! All of my wedding collections include the high resolution digital files with print release. You may print at any lab of your choice for as long you have the photos. I do include photo labs that I recommend printing through that are affordable with great results.

Q. Will I be able to share my images online? Yes! You may post and share them without watermarks. I do request that you give me photo credit in the caption or tag my business page if possible.
